The United States has a noted and special history of holding its veterans up and taking care of them. Veterans have a great deal of respect towards them—even if people don’t agree with their job description—and extra services are available for them in a variety of areas.
I Am a U.S. Military Veteran. Does the Government Offer Services to Help Me Find a Job?
Because the military is a government service funded by them, there’s a good chance they’ll have services available to help you find a job. However, this depends on your role in the military, and how you exited, so it’s best you go on the United States Department of Defense website first or call your state’s employment agency. For example, the Unemployment Compensation for Ex-Servicemembers (UCX) program provides benefits for ex-military personnel.
